Harvey Weinstein Rape Case Expecting Acquittal Contrary to Similar Bill Cosby Case
Only one day before a jury is set to start thinking in the assault and rape preliminary of Harvey Weinstein, legitimate investigator Jesse Weber revealed to news source FOX Business Monday morning he accepts the disrespected motion picture magnate could get off without any penalty.
Weber, who said he has been in the court for almost the entirety of the 17-day preliminary, told "Mornings With Maria's" Dagen McDowell he expects the 12-man board to take a few days before settling on their choice – however and still, at the end of the day, considerations may bring about a hung jury.
"I expect jury deliberations to continue probably into the end of the week, maybe into next," Weber said. "We might see an acquittal, we might see a hung jury. That's my expectation, given what I've seen from both sides. I've been there almost every day and me, on the outside, who has the benefit of more information and analysis, I'm even torn."
Weber, a lawyer and host for the Law and Crime Network, additionally said he trusts Weinstein's safeguard group has indicated the case ""is riddled with doubt."
"The prosecution presented a very strong case. There's a strength in numbers when you have six women testify," he stated, later including: "Did the arraignment's case demonstrate past a sensible uncertainty? I think this is a convoluted case."
