FBI Raided iHeartMedia Offices After DJ Envy Business Partner Gets Indicted for Fraud Scam

The United States Attorney's Office revealed on Wednesday that Cesar Pina had been detained for his suspected involvement in a multimillion-dollar real estate fraud scam. He was given a single count of wire fraud in the complaint.

Pina, 45, entered a not guilty plea and was freed on a $1 million bail and electronic tracking. Investors said that Pina promised to renovate and sell a house. Within months, they were to get back 30% of the earnings.

His business partner, the radio host DJ Envy, who assisted in promoting the real estate endeavor, is also under investigation. Federal agents visited the iHeartRadio office where Envy works and took electronic devices as part of the inquiry, according to NBC 4.

Envy shared his motivation for working with Pina to lead real estate seminars during a recent episode of The Breakfast Club. Now, he explained, "I did these seminars because I wanted to uplift my community." “I wanted to teach my community about real estate, things that I didn’t know when I was first buying my first home. I wanted to teach our community about investing and in generational wealth.”
