Why Breonna Taylor's Family Still Persues Justice After 12 Million Dollar Settlement; Largest In City's History

$12 Million dollar settlement not enough to please the family of Breonna Taylor killed while sleeping in her Home by Louisville Police

Louisville city authorities have consented to a $12 million dollar settlement that will be paid to the group of Breonna Taylor, a youthful Black lady who was shot and executed by nearby law requirement in her home early this year.

As indicated by the New York Times, the arrangement was reached rapidly in contrast with different instances of police shootings, which have regularly delayed for quite a long time. Taylor, a 26-year-old trauma center specialist was slaughtered by white officials during what's been to a great extent marked a "botched drug raid."

The officials slammed through her entryway to organize a court order at 12 PM on March 13 and continued to discharge a few shots into the house, five of which hit Taylor, while her beau Kenneth Walker was driven away in binds.

"As significant as today is, it’s only the beginning of getting full justice for Breonna,” Palmer relayed at a Tuesday news meeting, as per the Associated Press. “We must not lose focus on what the real drive is and with that being said, it’s time to move forward with the criminal charges because she deserves that and much more.” A lawyer for the family, Ben Crump, stated:

“We won’t let Breonna Taylor’s life be swept under the rug.” Crump additionally called for charges against the officials in question, a point repeated via online media.
