Manuel Buri 'Manni' Quest Diagnostic Lab Technician Faked Drug Test Proving Fraudulent Enlisting
As He Details every step that he would take to successfully complete a fake drug test
When the integrity of a Laboratory Technician is compromised from something such as faking a drug test by swapping specimen with someone who's not your own, anything is possible in such a delicate workplace environment and alarming to say the least. Working from two different Quest Diagnostic locations between 103rd st. Corona Park & Jackson Heights means the technician mobilizes this type of untrustworthy & unethical misconduct.
On September 26th, we received a lead of a medical scandal at Quest Diagnostics on the day before that should be syndicated ahead of the Flu Season where so much dependency is on the Laboratory Industry. It entails 35 yr. old Laboratory Technician Manuel Buri who appears to also go by ‘Manni’, plotting everything from meeting his friend by the lab before the drug test to when he’d go back to smoking the marijuana (after his “supervisor” told him he was clear as he knew his friend was clean.)
The friend he would meet would pee into three test tubes that appear to have a yellow top inside of a steel canister with Manuel Buri holding.
Health and Safety:
In a lab environment, precision and accuracy are key. Drug use can impair judgment and motor skills, leading to mistakes or accidents that might harm staff or compromise research. This is why its alarming to have a lab technician morally okay with swapping specimens and ultimately a major liability.
Legal Compliance:
Many regulations and laws require workplaces, especially those handling sensitive or hazardous materials, to enforce & maintain drug-free policies to ensure compliance and avoid penalties or worse. Such legislation put laws into place for instance such as the Drug-Free Workplace Act of 1988 thats a United States federal law that requires some federal contractors and all federal grantees to agree to provide drug-free workplaces as a condition of receiving a contract or grant from a federal agency1. The Act aims to ensure that workplaces are free from the illegal use of drugs, promoting a safer and more productive work environment.
Or like the New York State Public Health Law (Article 5, Title V, Section 574) which mandates that all specimens obtained within New York State be tested by a laboratory holding a New York State clinical laboratory permit
Productivity and Efficiency:
Drug use can decrease work efficiency and increase absenteeism, hampering project timelines and overall productivity.
Quality of Work:
The credibility of lab results relies on meticulous work. Drug use can compromise the integrity of the research and findings.
Professional Reputation:
A drug-free policy helps maintain the lab's professional reputation, instilling trust in clients in the community, partners, and stakeholders.
Workplace Atmosphere:
Drug use can lead to conflicts or erratic behavior, disrupting the collaborative and respectful environment essential for scientific work. Maintaining a drug-free workplace promotes a positive and productive atmosphere.
