Marriage Crumbled as Cardi B's WAP Tops Hot 100 4th Week; "Lemonade" Record Awaits

After Cardi B petitioned for legal separation from Offset this previous week, the Bronx rapper took to Instagram Live on Friday to address the split.

"I've seen all the love and prayers that you guys have been sending me, however, I don't really need it," Cardi said. "I'm okay. I wanted to let y'all know I have not shed not one tear."

Cardi B's "WAP," including Megan Thee Stallion, goes through a fourth week at No. 1 on the Billboard "WAP," delivered on Atlantic Records, scores a fifth week at No. 1 on the Streaming Songs outline with 41.5 million U.S. spills (down 14%) in the week finishing Sept. 17, as per Nielsen Music/MRC Data.

On Digital Song Sales, which it drove for about fourteen days, "WAP" drops 2-3 with 12,000 downloads sold (down 25%) in a similar range. The collab climbs 27-21 on Streaming Songs with 32.6 million airplay crowd impressions (up 21%) in the week finishing Sept. 20. Hot 100 tunes diagram.

Cardi proceeded to clarify that the purpose behind their split wasn't a direct result of Offset's betrayal, regardless of reports.

"Every single time that this guy has been so crazy, so fucked up and it hits the media, I'm always crying, always sad because I don't like that type of shit," Cardi conveyed.

She also says "This time, I wasn't crying. You want to know why? The reason for my divorce is not because of none of that shit that ever happened before. It's not because of cheating. I'm seeing people be like, 'Oh, he has a baby on the way.' That's a whole fucking complete lie. That's the second time people are trying to pin babies over here. No, that's bullshit."

As per Cardi, the relationship had basically run its course. "I been with this man for four years. I have a kid with this man, I have a household with this man…sometimes you’re just tired of the arguments and the build up. You get tired sometimes and before something happens, you leave.”
