Ariana Grande's NTLC Surprises Coachella as Kygo Honors Avicii's Death
Hardly 24 hours have passed since Ariana Grande made her much-anticipated return with new single "No Tears Left To Cry." Now, the pop star is celebrating in the best way: a surprise performance during the first night of Coachella week two.
Gossipy tidbits began spreading that Grande would perform when her director Scooter Braun dropped two indications on Twitter: "Hello Ariana Grande ... what are you up to this evening?" he asked, before telling his supporters he was headed to the Coachella organize
Before long, fans began sharing photographs of Grande (with lavender-hued hair) and her sweetheart Mac Miller in a helicopter, likely on the way.
At last, the hypothesis was over when Grande made that big appearance amid Kygo's set to treat fans to an intense live introduction of her new single.
Kygo
Hours before Kygo made that big appearance, the DJ posted a photograph on Instagram in memory of his companion and motivation, Avicii, who heartbreakingly passed away on April 20 at age 28.
He fittingly closed out his set by honoring the dance pioneer with a performance of Avicii's "Without You" and a heartfelt sendoff: "“Coachella, I think most of you guys have heard but today is a very sad day for music. Earlier today I got the news that Avicii passed away only 28 years old. Avicii was my biggest musical inspiration and he was the reason I started making electronic music so I don’t think I would’ve been on this stage tonight if it wasn’t for him. I know he’s inspired millions of other producers out there. So I want to end my set tonight with my favorite Avicii song," & "We'll miss you, buddy."
