Why Nicki Minaj Will Return to Rap Music Although She Retired to Procreate
There are various reasons why we haven’t seen the last of Nicki Minaj.
In the wake of sending the Barbz into palpitations with her unexpected retirement declaration the previous evening, Nicki Minaj is saying 'sorry'. Sadly, she hasn't said she's not resigning, yet concedes that 50-word Tweet perhaps wasn't the most ideal approach to declare to her army of admirers that she's leaving the music business.
"I'm still right here. Still madly in love with you guys & you know that," she wrote. "In hindsight, this should've been a Queen Radio discussion & it will be. I promise u guys will be happy. No guests, just us talking about everything. The tweet was abrupt & insensitive, I apologize babe."
Let's just keep it real, Nicki Minaj has been going non-stop since she started in this business leaving almost no stone unturned. Nicki Minaj has so many areas that she has given us more than what we've bargained for, and it's time that she gives the world some time to cultivate a new palette to paint from.
“I've decided to retire & have my family. I know you guys are happy now. To my fans, keep reppin me, do it til da death of me, ❌ in the box- cuz ain't nobody checkin me. ✅ Love you for LIFE 😘♥️🦄”

We're literally in a time where she has finally checked off that last major item of demand for the times which was a collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion. I even felt like "if anything Nicki, this is the time right here to show some genuine female camaraderie with this Hot Girl Meg," and she did that. I just had no idea she was going to carry that to the next tier by having that be her last move before casting her void.
It seems like this is a time that Nicki is making the world pay the price for that hate train they tried to crank so many times, the award snubs, the unwarranted disrespect, all while doing something she said herself she would regret if she didn't do and that's have a family.
Nicki Minaj is still in love with what she does but there comes those times when you have to step back to let your passion develop into what will be evolutionary for your skill sets and the rap game. This is a game that Nicki has invested alot of her time, money, and energy too and that's why I find it extremely challenging to believe that Nicki Minaj will embody the true meaning of 'Retired' for the long run.
Nicki’s Longevity in the Industry
Through the span of her decade-long vocation, Minaj has been selected for 10 Grammys, earned a Guinness World Record in 2017 for most Billboard Hot 100 sections by an independent female craftsman and pulled in five MTV Video Music Awards.
Not long ago Minaj was guaranteed by the Recording Industry Association of America as the primary female rapper to formally sell 100m LP’s and singles. In the wake of marking a music bargain in 2009, Minaj discharged her first studio collection, Pink Friday, after a year, topping at No 1. Her subsequent collection, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded additionally hit No 1.
A few ensuing collections sold well and she likewise stretched out into showing up in films, including Ice Age: Continental Drift, and on TV, where she was judge on American Idol.
