The veteran duo Trina and NIcki Minaj have teamed up on a tune that dropped Wednesday called "BAPS." The four-minute New Orleans-styled beat is from Trina's up and coming collection "The One," which is accessible now on all Platforms now.

The tune samples from the 2000 tune "Project B***," from the supergroup Cash Money Millionaires, which incorporated the Big Tymer$ - Birdman and Mannie Fresh - and B.G., Juvenile, Lil Wayne and Turk from the Hot Boy$.

This isn't the primary joint effort for the pair. Trina and Minaj have cooperated before on hits, for example, "5 Star (Remix)" and "Dang A Lang." Yet as we know Nicki Minaj its definitely rare to see her on another track with a female unless there’s genuine love between them. Trina told the Breakfastclub in a recent interview, “She was in Miami working on her album and we were just going back and forth and I told her I was working on my album and I wanted her on the album, and she told me “come by the studio” so I pulled up at the studio and she was playing some stuff that was dope.”

Also adding “ this was before her album came out the Queen Album […] so we went back and forth, I did my part sent it to her she did her part sent it back, just back and forth with the record and then I got back into the studio with her and thats how we got it complete. But it was a lot of difficulties with the clearances you know it’s a Cash Money Record, its Universal involved, its Juvie on the hook, so yeah it was a lot but besides that it was an amazing experience to do the record.”

What's more, Nicki Minaj is only one collaborative artist included on Trina's 15-track collection. Others incorporate 2 Chainz, DJ Khaled, K. Michelle, The City Girls, Kelly Price and Lil Wayne.
