Occult Actress Anna Lucie Schollerova On Winning "Best Actress" Award + Award Winning "Whisper Naked Shadow" Directed by Nora K and Much More
There couldn’t be a better IMDb, web-series circulating the internet right now especially when the production is winning award after award category, after category in Award Festivals all over the world. Whisper Naked Shadow by Nora K the Filmmaker/ Director / Writer has been selected in nearly 10 Award Fesitvals and is a comedy/ mystery Web-series that encompasses 6-Episodes starring Anna Lucie Schollerova as Sofie along side her college & roommates Robin, & Viki.
Anna Schollerova is a very talented actress and is so good at what she does on screen, she delivers a powerful vibration with what is going on in the storyline.Sh has won “Best Actress” and “Best Comedy Actress” in New Jersey, and in seoul. One of the absolutely noticeable things about Anna Schollerova the night of the intimate screening in Brooklyn as summer ended in 2019 is that she is very passionate about her craft. Anna Schollerova cares so much about the precision in her character and doesn’t let things that would probably send other girls off of a cliff, bother her, she remains of award winning quality throughout each and every episode. I know for sure that this is a quality that takes a lot of intuity of the acting craft and her love for that really radiates along with her other cast-members.
I had the honorable pleasure of picking Anna Lucie Schollerova’s mind about the international award winning recognition they’ve gotten and what it means to her and to be honest I wouldn't want more out of her response. “ To win these awards, especially from such big continents like Asia and North America, is an amazing honor for me. Sometimes I still don't believe it happened and I have to feel the trophy itself to be reminded of it's reality.” Seeing how much hard work she puts into the Webseries, along with the rest of the cast, can definitely contribute to the understanding of the vast locale in Accolaids they’ve garnered together for Season 1 and probably for Season 2 as well.
Cover Story Interview
1.) What initially inspired you to initially pursue becoming an Actress?
Anna Scholler: As long as I can remember, I have enjoyed performing. Even when little, I used to put on costumes and perform for my parents and neighbors. It may have been some sort of escape from reality, but I really enjoyed it.
2.) Recently You've Won Honorable Accolaids in 3 separate International Festival Award Programs including the L.A. Film Awards 2019, can you tell us what categories you Won & where?
Anna Scholler: First, we won in the April Edition of L.A. Film Awards in the "best series" category. We were very honored and proud to have been selected, especially with a low budget series from a small country like the Czech Republic. It's a real success to be recognized internationally like this. When we won in the same category once again, a month later, in the May edition of the Florence award, we couldn't even believe our luck, and it motivated us to submit to a few more festivals. We were selected as Official Selections into 9 festivals so far, and have screened on 5 continents and I have won "Best Actress" and "Best Comedy Actress" in Seoul and New Jersey festivals.
3.) What does this kind of privileged acknowledgement mean to you & does it make you more motivated or dream of accomplishing more in your career?
Anna Scholler: To win these awards, especially from such big continents like Asia and North America, is an amazing honor for me. Sometimes I still don't believe it happened and I have to feel the trophy itself to be reminded of it's reality. I think it has been a very rewarding experience for all of us who have contributed to this show and put their heart and soul into it. And when you do that - put your heart and soul into something - I think you can never really go wrong. But I also want to mention how unbelievably rewarding are the friendships that have started among the creators that we met at the festivals. Where you respect and admire them, both for what they do and who they are as people... to the point that you genuinely cheer for them even when they win an award that you both have been nominated for. Such moments made me really happy as a human and creator.
4.) What are a few key factors that you would say contribute to the titles of the Awards you've recently won?
Anna Scholler: Have faith in yourself and what you do and give it your all. If you doubt yourself, or don't give it 100%, it shows. When I am playing Sofie, I am a hundred percent connected to her, I think for her, get out of my comfort zone for her and give her my all.
5.) How do you feel about being recognized as an Actress in the USA but in South Korea as well?
Anna Scholler: I come from a very small town called Blatna, in the Czech Republic, which is a small country in central Europe. Both US and Korea felt so big and far away for me. I never even dreamed going there, let alone winning such awards. It makes me very proud of what we achieved and, ironically, I think we are being more celebrated and recognized in other countries than our own, which I hope will change.. because we are happy we get to represent our country like that.
6.) Can you give a brief introduction to 'Whisper Naked Shadow' and reveal its core relevance in todays archetype?
Anna Scholler: It's a sitcom - with a bit of drama - about 5 friends who are solving one unexpected mystery. While there is humor, super powers and some nudity in it, we also deal with things like self-doubt, personal courage, self awareness and racism. And we hope that we make people both laugh and think at the same time. For our lead actor, Radek Banga, who is of Roma minority (minority ethnicity in the Czech republic, often discriminated against) this was the first time he was offered a role of a college educated and employed character who was not a criminal or a deviant. And I know that our director Nora K was hoping to contribute to the media portrayal of this ethnicity in the Czech Republic and elsewhere and wrote the role especially for Radek. And we also cast a female into or role of best friend from school, who is a scientist. Even if these are small things, we believe they have the potential to make a bigger impact, even if only on the subconscious level of the viewers.
7.) What are some words of encouragement for any insecure aspiring actresses you would want any girl to remember for the rest of her life
Anna Scholler: Believe in yourself, work hard, accept criticism, but be able to recognize a hater from someone who wants to give you constructive feedback. Know that haters are part of what we do and you will never manage to be liked by all and its ok. Have a good support system around you, people you trust and who can help. I am very happy to have such people around me, be it my mom, or Nora, who is my director and friend at the same time. Be aware that maybe with success some friendships can also end, but then you will know they weren't going to last anyway.
8.) What are some key dedication factors that went into your role as an actress, in this award winning web series?
Anna Scholler: Prepare yourself to be completely out of your comfort zone and share your vulnerability with people. And what can be more vulnerable than being naked on the screen? While I have received a lot of praise for my portrayal of Sofie, I think some of the warmest comments were from other actors who recognized the courage and vulnerability I was willing to bring to the show. And it was a struggle for me, as I am a naturally shy person but being willing to take on some risk was part of my dedication.
9.) Were there any common goals between you and other co-actors in the Whisper Naked Shadow web series that showed on-screen?
Anna Scholler: I think that complete dedication and passion is what binds us all and what hopefully also shows on the screen. We all went into it knowing its a low budget low tech show, but we fell in love with it already on the pages and had a passion for it and I think that's what makes it what it is. I think we were also selected for our individual personalities that provide for a good ensemble both on and off the screen. So we were especially happy to see we were nominated.
10.) What are some important qualities you'd say comedy brings into people's lives and how does that apply to what you bring on-set?
Anna Scholler: I want to quote Paul Thomas Anderson here, who spoke about this after making Punch Drunk Love with Adam Sandler and said that when he is sad, he is not going to want to watch Magnolia or Breaking the Waves, but he is going to "pop in an Adam Sandler movie" and I think that's illustrates where comedy is really powerful: it helps people when they are sad, it provides entertainment when someone is feeling down. We are not a straight comedy only, but if we make someone occasionally laugh when they are in a difficult situation, we reached our goals.
11.) Are there any timeless aspects to Whisper Naked Shadow in you opinion, & if so could you name a couple of them?
Anna Scholler: Only time will show if we are timeless, but I would hope that some of the more social elements of our story, the elements that touch on racism or self doubt, could withhold the test of time.
12.) Can you reveal to our readers the kinds of supportive ways people have shown you in your recent experiences being nominated/ & winning Film Festival Awards?
Anna Scholler: Our makeup artist shared on her FB page how proud she was of how we represent our country on these international festivals. We had a town councilman from Prague publicly say that "we are their hope." That was an incredible moment too. But above all, I think it's the support and love other creators shows us. By following us on social media, by wearing our t-shirts, and highlighting us in comments, that really warms our hearts to see, especially if they are our 'competitors" in the various festivals. We have also received support from a few companies in Prague. PFX / http://pfx.tv / donated some visual effects work for our second seasons to us. Lush gave us some props. Every little bit like that counts for such a small production like we are. If anyone out there wants to support us, please let us know.
13.) Are there any actresses or actors that you look up to, that you could see yourself like one day in some kind of way?
Anna Scholler: Jake Gyllenhaal. I had the pleasure to see him in Sea Wall / Life on Broadway, and his acting was amazing. It was a two person play with him holding the stage alone for 45 minutes and as an actor I know that's hard to do. I was noticing all the amazing physical as well as emotional acting that went into it and have the utmost admiration for him.
14.) What is one film you've always wanted to lead in & why is that?
Anna Scholler: Great questions. There are many movies like that. I have always loved the Notebook for how romantic as well as surprising it was. I am very romantic myself so this was my kind of movie. But I also love any of Quentin Tarantino's movies, and while his movies are often shocking for me to watch, I think they are both highly entertaining as well as artistically valuable and inspiring.
15.) What are 5 words that would describe your personality to potential followers/ fans?
Anna Scholler: I think I am ambitious, adventurous, empathetic, passionate, outgoing. But I hope above all, it shows I do things with love and open heart.
