Madonna Reschedules North American Leg of her Tour Penning Heartfelt Letter to Fans
“ I’m on the road to recovery and incredibly grateful for all the blessings in my life. ”
Today, the “Ray of Light” singer Madonna composed a sincere and heartfelt message to her fans via social media after the medical infection that lead her into the hospital and to postpone her North American Leg of her tour. The letter reads “ Thank you for your positive energy, prayers and words of healing and encouragement. I have felt your love. I’m on the road to recovery and incredibly grateful for all the blessings in my life. My first thought when I woke up in the hospital was my children. My second thought was that I did not want to disappoint anyone who bought tickets for my tour. I also didn’t want to let down the people who worked tirelessly with me over the last few months to create my show. I hate to disappoint anyone.
My focus is my health and getting stronger and I assure you, I’ll be back with you as soon as I can! The current plan is to reschedule the North American leg of the tour and to begin in October in Europe. I couldn’t be more grateful for your care and support. Love, M” the Madonna penned letter stated.
According to her manager, Guy Oseary, the pop diva is postponing her planned Celebration tour due to a bacterial illness. He said on Instagram that Madonna contracted the virus on June 24 and spent "several" days in the intensive care unit. The tour was supposed to start in less than a month, on July 15, in Vancouver. "Her health is improving, but she is still receiving medical attention." "A full recovery is expected," wrote Oseary.
"At this time, we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour." The Celebration tour was supposed to be Madonna's first entirely retrospective appearance to commemorate her career's 40th anniversary.
