At the MTV Video Music Awards on Tuesday (Sept. 12) at the Prudential Center in Newark, Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion provided the loud rhythm with a performance of their recent collaboration, "Bongos."

Cardi opened the show, lowering down to the stage on a huge disco ball while wearing her hair loosely in the style of Donna Summer from the 1970s. Shirtless male bongo players accompanied her as she arrived, and when the song started, dancers in bright green and blue two-piece bathing costumes joined her. Then, Megan made an appearance on a different platform, supported by her own group of backing dancers and performing her trademark twerking.
