Nicki Minaj is not the one to completely disappear from the music scene/blog-sphere. Beginning of the year 2018 mainstream platforms like The Wendy Show initiated mass notices of Nicki's sharply felt silence. This silence all came to a long-awaited end when Nicki Minaj tweeted out "4" on April 8th (Sunday), but she removed the message from her account. It didn't only stop there, she also posted on the following day "3" on the same social site but swiftly deleted this tweet as well. Alot of things conspired behind the scenes and on camera during her absence including the speculation of a pregnancy. Nicki's rival Cardi B has also been making some pretty heavy moves in relation to the industry and Rap/Hip-hop which is in turn directly related to Nicki Minaj herself. Plenty of people theorized Nicki's absence as being scared of Cardi B and her Chart presence and dominance though this was probably highly unlikely. Others were positive that she has been actually hard at work on her upcoming album making it even that much better. A male reported from her Team that he's excited about what Nicki has and he can't wait till she shares it with the world.

"Chun-Li" and "Barbie Tingz"

As if Nicki Minaj's reappearance didn't break the internet enough alone, Nicki releases of new singles the week of April 8th, 2018. For "Barbie Tingz" the Queen noted that on Thursday its release at 10am pst, and 1pm Est., everywhere else.

Last year Nicki was on a slew of features including with Yo Gotti on "Rake it Up", Lil Uzi Vert on "The Way Life Goes", Travis $cott on "Krippy Kush (Remix), The Migos on" MotorSport", and even a few more as a real Queen should, like her teaming up with Quavo on "She For Keeps". Although we got an abundance of feature music from Nicki Minaj, we still don't have clear insight at her the characteristics of her new sound or the aesthetic to the production behind her new upcoming album. The closest thing we have is her last studio recorded album called "Pinkprint" back in 2014.

A coordinating reference echoes, “Cardi is focused on her own music and respects all the female rappers that came before her.” The primary source reveals to Us that the "Starships" vocalist “spent the past few months focusing on finishing and perfecting“ the up 'til now untitled venture. “Now she’s ready to return to the spotlight and promote it,” the close source says. “She’s excited to go on tour again and see her fans.”

Then, Cardi, who is pregnant with her first youngster with comically attemting life partner Offset, additionally as of late closedown theory that she is quarreling with Minaj, with whom she worked together on Migos' tune "MotorSport."

Countdown Speculation

The two hints lead everyone to believe that this was a 'Countdown' happening before our eyes to new Nicki material. Will she tweet "2" on Tuesday April 10th, and tweet "1" on Wednesday? Is it all just a coincidence that the countdown would end on Friday 13th. You can't assume anything these days between music video anticipation, tour & album campaign anticipation, and song releases and Nicki Minaj can not be underestimated with rationality, although she has been invisible to he online community, it's been reported that she is hard at production on her upcoming album.
