The Clara & Joe Tsai Foundation Social Justice Fund #Webelonghere Event Catered by Brooklyn Lobster (Park Slope)
Fighting racial equality, educational, & economical gaps for people of color, black indigenous, etc., while promoting growth, independence and unity within the community of minorities & Businesses impacted by the pandemic.
On Saturday October 23rd, 2021, Barclays Center turned into a pseudo MTV VMA pre-show epicenter jammed packed with fun music, activities, food, & a plethora of community program venues ranging from Workforce, to Health & Medical, & our favorite Brooklyn Lobster (Park Slope).
The event ranged from politicians like NY Lieutenant Governor Brian Benjamin to entertainment by multiple dance teams including the Net's Team Hype, performers who sang their heart out in the soul of downtown Brooklyn to even an incredible and crowd rousing host Angela Yee from The Breakfast Club.
A vision sought after by a powerful businesswoman Clara Wu Tsai that with the help of her husband, her peers’ like Executive Director Gregg Bishop & many around the community shall become a 10 year path to growth, success & excellence across a plethora of fields including minority education, health, and wealth along with racial injustice.
"When it comes to dismantling systemic racism and economic equality in our communities, we want to lead by example. That's why it is so important to us to invest in the Black leaders combating racial injustice from every angle right here in Brooklyn." - Clara Wu Tsai.
Clara Wu & her husband Joe are the owners of the NBA Brooklyn Nets, the WNBA New York Liberty, the Barclays Center, and the NLL San Diago Seals and believe these can be prideful & honorable symbols of what our country could be in the future in regards to progression in racial & economic equality. Especially in the regards of black, indigenous, & People of color.
